Brassia, the 'spider orchids', are sympodial Neotropical epiphytes producing arching sprays of flowers with extremely long, narrow, spider-like sepals and petals. They are pollinated by spider-hunting wasps. Intermediate, bright growers, they hybridise readily with Miltonia and Oncidium (e.g. xMiltassia).
