Una pianta perenne strisciante (Commelinaceae) con rosette di foglie lucide su lunghi corridori e fiori bianchi fragranti.
Bright, indirect light to some direct sun keeps the trailing stems compact and colourful. In low light the growth becomes sparse and stretched and any variegation or pink tones fade.
Water when the top 2–3 cm of soil dry out; these spiderwort relatives tolerate brief drought but dislike soggy soil. Reduce in winter.
Ordinary well-draining potting mix with some perlite. Not fussy.
Comfortable 15–26 °C; keep above 10 °C. Tolerates average humidity, though higher humidity gives lusher growth.
Feed monthly in spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertilizer at half strength.
Pinch and trim regularly to keep the plant full; the trimmings root very easily. Mildly toxic and the sap can irritate sensitive skin and pets.
