Un ibrido tra due specie bornee di Paraphalaenopsis, che combina le lunghe foglie tereti e i fiori fragranti a forma di stella dei suoi genitori. Coltivato caldo e umido, montato o in cestello. Registrato come ibrido naturale/primario piuttosto che una vera specie.
Bright, indirect to filtered light, a little more than Phalaenopsis, suits these terete-leaved 'rat-tail orchids'. Avoid harsh direct sun on the pendulous cylindrical leaves.
Water thoroughly while in growth, letting the thick roots and terete leaves dry between waterings. They store water in the fleshy leaves, so avoid keeping them constantly soggy. Reduce slightly in winter.
Coarse, very free-draining bark mix, or mounted/basket culture with good airflow.
Warm-growing, 20–32 °C; keep above 15 °C. High humidity (60–80%) with airflow.
Feed weakly weekly at quarter to half strength during growth; flush periodically with plain water.
Remove only dead roots and spent spikes; resents disturbance, so repot rarely. Non-toxic.
