Bright, indirect light suits most; many tolerate medium light, while self-heading and variegated types want brighter (but never direct) light to stay compact and keep their colour. Direct sun scorches.

Acqua

Water when the top 3-4 cm of soil dry out, then innaffiare abbondantemente and drain. Keep lightly moist but never soggy; overwatering causes yellowing and root rot, under-watering causes drooping. Reduce in winter.

Chunky, well-aerated aroid mix (bark, perlite, coir) that drains fast but holds some moisture.
