Luce brillante, indiretta o leggermente filtrata; questa orchidea rampicante vuole calore e buona luce ma non sole diretto aspro, che brucia la spessa vite verde.

Acqua

Bright, indirect to lightly filtered light; this climbing orchid wants warmth and good light but not harsh direct sun, which scorches the thick green vine.

Acqua

Keep the medium and aerial roots lightly and evenly moist during active growth, letting the surface dry slightly between waterings. High humidity matters more than heavy watering. Reduce a little in cooler weather.

Substrato

Open, free-draining epiphyte mix at the base, plus a damp support (moss pole/totem) for the climbing stem and aerial roots.

Temperatura e umidità

Warm-growing, 20–32 °C; keep above 15 °C. Needs HIGH humidity (70–80%) and a sturdy support to climb.

Concimazione

Feed weakly weekly during active growth with a balanced orchid fertilizer; flush periodically.

Potatura

Train the long vine on its support; tip cuttings root readily. Vanilla pods (from V. planifolia) are the source of natural vanilla. The fresh sap can irritate skin — handle with care.
